Hi all, Hope this year has been as good to you as it has to us! Thanks to seriously kick ass customers we've had a strong season, and a great year all around. This time of year finds us starting a little remodel while building new bikes and looking forward to the 2013 season (after a well deserved break in late January/early February). Once again we're hosting a Holiday Party, and this years shindig will go down on December 15th between the hours of 2 and 6pm. Hi folks, It's been a while but I like to wait until we actually have something to talk about so, on that note, here goes... The annual Lincoln Woods Fun Ride is happening on 11/4. The rain date it 11/11. Same deal as it always is, bring canned and/or non perishable food items and ride for free! Everyone loves free stuff, right? Flyer for said event is below. All the food and any cash donations go to the RI Community Food Bank so please be generous! Parking will be the same as years past in the lot by the beach, next to the little cemetery. Registration will run from 9 - 12. Arrows come down by 2:00! Plan accordingly. There will be chili and hot dogs and good tasty treats for after the ride as well. The trails will be leaf blown just before the ride and we'll likely throw in some new stuff this year to keep it interesting and maybe make it a bit longer. Hi all, It's already May! Insane, isn't it? Seems like it was just yesterday we were getting back down to business here after our winter break... Hopefully you've taken advantage of the dry, warm and generally great weather we've enjoyed in southern New England as of late. The Monday night Lincoln Woods rides are in full swing.We're still meeting at the covered bridge off of route 123 at 6:00 on Monday nights, and we're able to ride for almost two hours now that the sunset is cooperating with us! The Thursday night Big River ride has now moved to exit 6 (Burnt Sawmill Rd.) and starts at 6:00 these days, just a friendly reminder. Speaking of Lincoln Woods.... if you ride in there without a helmet well, then, you probably don't need one. Seriously kids! Use your damn brains while you still got 'em. I'm getting tired of seeing people ripping around out there sans protection. Don't get hurt and ruin it for everyone, please. I'm asking nicel...

We blinked and then it was busy, and then it got really, really busy. Not complaining by any means but if we look like zombies and smell like Tri Flow, well, now you know why! In other news the Rocky Mountain Element 950 demo bike and the Transition Bandit 29 demo are both built and broken in for your demoing pleasure. Last week we came back to work after a nice long break and we're ready to go! Apparently the local riding community is as well judging by the service work and general busyness around the shop. It could be the weather we've enjoyed this winter, or it could be that all the diehards just needed to ride all year round. Whatever the reason, we got you covered in 2012. Here is some pertinent info to check out as we roll into the new riding season. "The Basics" Free Repair classes: These are free classes, close to the start of the season (so you don't learn it and forget it), that cover the basics like flat tire repair, drivetrain maintenance, chain repair and basic wheel truing. The idea is to empower you so you can get home should anything (or a few things) go wrong. The classes are FREE and we give a 10% discount on all tools and supplies (tubes, patch kits, lube, etc..) bought after the classes. The dates are March 5th and March 12th, classes start at 6. Hey all, We're going to host this year's RI NEMBA Fun Ride to benefit the RI Food Bank on Sunday, November 27th (rain date 12/4). This will be an arrowed 10 + mile ride featuring most of the myriad of trails in Lincoln Woods. As always there will be some longer climbs that pay off with some fun descents and plenty of technical rock features to go around. We're including many of the more technical trails this year. Also, please note that there will be a "climb and descend" led ride that will hit some of the gravity oriented lines that are NOT going to be a part of the arrowed loop as well (time/details to follow). The cost of admission is some canned goods/non perishable foods. If you can't make the ride feel free to swing by the shop with some food! We'll be collecting all month to add to the pile at the ride itself. Registration opens at 9:00 and runs until 11:00. Arrows will start to come down ~ 3:00. And, it actually looks like a bike shop and not some dank cave that smells of rubber and coffee. How awesome is that? We're real happy with the new space and fairly surprised with how many folks walking in never knew that the old shop was located only a mile away. I know it's Rhode Island and all but still... Oh, and the trails at the Monastery are less than a 1/2 mile away, offer a great workout and they are pretty damn fun to boot. How about that? On the service front we're firing on all cylinders once again and staying on top of our goal of getting people back on their bikes in a few days. On the bike front we're psyched to let people know that we can now help them go big (and maybe deep into debt?) with IBIS.
