Lincoln Woods Fun Ride November 4th 2012!
Hi folks,
It's been a while but I like to wait until we actually have something to talk about so, on that note, here goes...
The annual Lincoln Woods Fun Ride is happening on 11/4. The rain date it 11/11. Same deal as it always is, bring canned and/or non perishable food items and ride for free! Everyone loves free stuff, right? Flyer for said event is below. All the food and any cash donations go to the RI Community Food Bank so please be generous!
Parking will be the same as years past in the lot by the beach, next to the little cemetery. Registration will run from 9 - 12. Arrows come down by 2:00! Plan accordingly. There will be chili and hot dogs and good tasty treats for after the ride as well. The trails will be leaf blown just before the ride and we'll likely throw in some new stuff this year to keep it interesting and maybe make it a bit longer.
Directions:
Rte 146 to the Twin River Road exit.
Left off the exit if coming from the South.
Right off the exit ramp if coming from the north.
Drive straight into the park and take a right at the kiosk. The lot is down a few hundred yards on the left, you can't miss it.
In related news the Rocky Mountain demo truck may be there and we hope Mark can make it! We'll likely have a Banshee Prime for folks to drool over as well. And maybe the Surly Pugsley Necromancer to boot!
Speaking of bikes.... we're almost all sold out! Seriously, we still have a few really nice mountain bikes that need a home. Please look into your heart and provide a loving new bike life to one of these fine steeds.
18" Rocky Mountain Altitude 30. Retail is $2600 and we had this listed below for $2125. $1700 takes this bad Larry home!
17" Rocky Mountain Element 930. Retail is $2600 and we had this one listed for $2210. Go hit the trail on it for $1900 will ya?!
19" Rocky Mountain Slayer 50. A personal favorite of mine, and may others, a great bike all around! Retail is $3700 and we had this listed below for $3190. You too can shred the gnar for $2700 dude!
54cm Rocky Mountain Solo CX. Great way to get into 'cross on nice bike cheap! Retail is $1150, we had it on sale for $975. Snatch it up for $900 and go get it dirty at some CX races while there is still time!
Large Transition Trans AM demo. A really solid 29er trail bike and a blast to ride! This one is up for grabs for $2000 and comes with the E Thirteen chainguide, an adjustable height seatpost is an optional upgrade.
But wait, there's more! Union Cycles is hosting a cyclocross training race series right here in Cumberland. If you live in the area and want to give it a whirl this is the perfect opportunity. Races start on 11/23 and run for 4 weeks. We'll be there doing our best not to get lapped. Should be interesting! All of the pertinent info can be found here: Union Velo Cyclocross series That's all for now! I'll be posting about some repair classes in November/December shortly.
